We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Northwest Texas Healthcare System. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to a culture of excellence.

Job Summary:

This is a full-time Registered Nurse position working on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays from 7am-7pm. The ideal candidate will have strong nursing skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies and standards">
  • Assess risks to patient safety and implement appropriate precautions">
  • Maintain professional behavior when dealing with issues or conflicts">
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate plans of care utilizing the nursing process and clinical skills">
  • Comply with appropriate and approved standards as outlined by the organization and accrediting agencies">
  • Provide an environment conducive to safety for patients, families, visitors, and employees">
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care and achieve optimal outcomes">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Current state nursing license or permit to practice nursing in the State of Texas">
  • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program">
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire or within 30 days of start date and maintain certification throughout employment">
  • ACLS and PALS certifications within 3 months of hire and maintain certification throughout employment">
  • Ongoing compliance with demonstration of clinically pertinent competencies as determined by the facility">
