Position Overview:
$15/hour
As a Technical Production Specialist, you will play a crucial role in bringing the vibrant atmosphere of Worlds of Fun to life through the management and execution of lighting, sound, and other technical elements across the park, including performances, parades, special events, and attractions.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with a team to enhance the visual and auditory experience of the park, ensuring an unforgettable visit for guests.
  • Conducting routine maintenance on technical equipment.
  • Designing and implementing new installations in alignment with the creative vision of park management and production teams.
  • Diagnosing and resolving equipment malfunctions efficiently and safely.
  • Assisting with the setup and breakdown of park events, productions, and special activities.
  • Supporting guest artists, production teams, and external contractors as required.
  • Preparing venues for shows, special events, and daily operations while ensuring seamless execution.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment for all personnel.

Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of experience in technical theater, particularly in sound and/or lighting.
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of theatrical lighting and sound systems.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and work collaboratively towards common objectives.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, walk significant distances, and lift heavy equipment, while being adaptable to varying temperatures.
  • Must be at least 17 years old.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a readiness to extend hours as needed.
  • Must successfully pass a mandatory (or random) drug screening in accordance with company policy, where applicable.
  • Must be able to pass a background check for candidates aged 18 and older, which may include credit, criminal, DMV, employment history, education, and personal references, as per company policy.
