**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our team at a detention facility in Alexandria, LA. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will provide high-quality patient care and support complex clinical operations.

**Responsibilities:**

* Provide direct patient care within the scope of your licensure and perform functions in accordance with current accepted practice
* Administer medications as ordered, utilizing various routes of administration
* Perform prescreening and intake screening of patients, using established tools to gather subjective and objective data
* Conduct various treatments, such as wound care and vital sign checks, as ordered by medical providers
* Collect laboratory specimens and perform point-of-care testing or prepare specimens for laboratory processing
* Respond to medical emergencies and render emergency care to stabilize patients
* Assist other healthcare professionals in gathering data, providing care, and educating patients

**Requirements:**

* Graduate from a Vocational/Practical Nurse program approved by a State, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. Territory
* Minimum of one year of experience in a hospital, medical office, or outpatient clinical setting
* Experience in a detention/correctional or residential healthcare setting preferred
* Current, full, and unrestricted LVN/LPN license by the state in which the duty station is located
* BLS for Healthcare Providers certification through the American Heart Association
