Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Inova, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our outpatient setting. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering basic therapeutic nursing care to patients with routine and standardized care requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives and contribute to unit-based quality improvement activities.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and patients/families to achieve desired patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records, notes, and physician orders.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited LPN school.
  • 2 years of LPN experience required.
  • BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Eligible for licensing in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a LPN.
  • Proficient in English, verbal and written communication skills, and computer skills.
