Research Scientist

We're seeking a highly skilled Fraud Detection Expert to join our team at Audible, a leading producer and provider of audio storytelling. As a key member of our data science team, you'll play a critical role in safeguarding our customers and content creators from the growing threat of AI-generated fraud.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement cutting-edge machine learning and deep learning techniques to detect and predict fraudulent activities
- Analyze complex patterns in transaction data to identify anomalies and create predictive models
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data engineering and modeling pipelines
- Contribute to the growth of the Audible Data Science team by sharing knowledge and expertise
Requirements:
- PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Applied Math, or a related quantitative field
- 5+ years of experience in machine learning, data engineering, and fraud detection
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Java, with experience in cloud platforms such as AWS
- Domain knowledge of comparable products and services
Preferred Qualifications:
- Publications in top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals in machine learning, natural language processing, or speech processing
- Experience with big data engineering and data science tools such as Spark and AWS EMR
