About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Meat Department Associate to join our team at BJ's Wholesale Club. As a Meat Department Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our members receive exceptional service and high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and making recommendations on meat, poultry, and seafood products.
  • Weigh, package, wrap, and label cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood, including grinds.
  • Inspect and store meat upon delivery to ensure that all delivered meat meets or exceeds company quality standards.
  • Ensure that the meat, seafood, prepared foods, and cheese cases are fully stocked and rotated according to expiration dates.
  • Clean and sanitize all equipment, display fixtures, and areas in the meat department, including the meat cooler, freezer, and refrigerated display cases.
  • Maintain all club policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats is preferred.
  • Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines is preferred.
  • Prior experience working in a meat and/or deli department is preferred.
  • At least 18 years of age.
Work Environment

This role is located in a comfortable indoor area with infrequent exposure to temperature extremes and loud noises. There may be occasional exposure to cleaning agents.
