Position Title: Quality Assurance Software Technician
Location: Oshkosh, WI
Clearance: Must be authorized to work in the US
The Quality Assurance Technician will assist senior engineers and technicians in evaluating vehicles and components, implementing configuration modifications, and maintaining testing systems in accordance with established engineering protocols, standards, and specifications. This role may also involve aiding in the design and assembly of testing apparatus and wiring for associated systems/sub-systems. The primary goal is to verify new product designs during the development phase and address issues with existing products. The Technician is expected to deliver exceptional technical support to clients of ATR Arena Technical Resources.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties are not exhaustive and additional responsibilities may be assigned.
- Execute tests on prototypes and existing products to assess vehicle/system capabilities and compliance with specifications and/or regulations in collaboration with engineers and senior technicians.
- Collect and document data utilizing knowledge of vehicle systems (CAN, electrical I/O, electrical pneumatic) through manual entry and data acquisition. Diagnose systems, conduct basic failure analysis, and adhere to detailed testing protocols.
- Assemble, disassemble, and create intricate/customized components, mechanical structures, and testing setups in partnership with engineers and senior technicians.
- Ensure a safe working environment by following all safety protocols during job performance, which includes regular exposure to personal and physical hazards.
- Operate heavy machinery or drive vehicles as necessary for testing or material handling purposes.
- Select appropriate testing instruments for product evaluation.
- Organize and prioritize daily tasks to effectively manage time and ensure project completion within designated timelines.
- Communicate effectively and collaborate across functions to resolve technical challenges, including providing constructive feedback to all organizational levels. Interpret and execute written and verbal instructions.
- Technical Diploma with three (3) years of experience in engineering or equivalent.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering schematics.
- Associate's degree with three (3) years of experience in engineering or equivalent.
- Familiarity with LabVIEW, Python, or other programming languages.
- Understanding of CAN communication.
- Knowledge of automotive and mechanical terminology.
- Possession of a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or a Telehandler and AWP operator license.
- Capability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operational and maintenance instructions, government regulations, and procedural manuals.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.
