Job Summary:The Youth Care Worker is responsible for providing direct care supervision to children in a residential setting. This role requires a strong ability to foster a safe and supportive environment that promotes learning and behavioral management.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct supervision and care to children in a residential setting
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each child
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless care and support
- Document and report all incidents, accidents, and notable events
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
- High school diploma or equivalent degree
- 1 year of experience in the child welfare field, working with children and/or adolescents in a social service setting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
The Youth Care Worker will work in a fast-paced residential setting, interacting with children and staff on a daily basis. The role requires the ability to work in a dynamic environment, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.
