Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Patient Transporter to join our team at University Hospitals. As a Patient Transporter, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting patients, equipment, and supplies throughout the hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport patients, equipment, and supplies to various locations within the hospital
  • Communicate with other departments to assess their transport needs and ensure timely delivery
  • Interact with patients and customers to ensure their needs are met and provide excellent customer service
  • Perform data entry and receive dispatch information via the Tele-Tracking System
  • Use proper body mechanics for lifting and/or moving patients and maintain a safe working environment
  • Understand and use the Patient Identification and Alert Process to ensure patient safety
  • Pass fit testing for N95 mask and maintain a clean and safe working environment
Additional Responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
  • Comply with all hospital policies and standards, including those related to patient confidentiality and data security
  • Participate in annual training and adhere to the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures
