Senior Internal Auditor

Puget Sound Energy is seeking a highly skilled Senior Internal Auditor to join our Internal Audit team. As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness of our internal controls and risk management processes.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning, scoping, execution, and reporting of assurance audits and consulting reviews
  • Track progress and validate completion of management action plans resulting from assurance audits
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of our business operations, including accounting systems, policies, and procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, and implement process improvements
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management and the Audit Committee

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of prior substantial audit experience, or specialized subject matter expertise
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
  • Significant knowledge of company accounting systems, operations, policies, and procedures

Puget Sound Energy offers a competitive compensation and rewards package, including a salary range of $88,000.00-$146,500.00, and eligibility for annual goals-based incentive bonuses. We also offer a suite of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, basic life, and short- and long-term disability insurance, as well as a 401(k) investment option and a cash balance retirement plan.
