Job Summary

CBIZ is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Audit Intern to join our team. As an Audit Intern, you will assist in planning and executing audit assignments, identifying and communicating audit issues, and developing strong working relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and executing audit assignments, including gaining an understanding of accounting and auditing principles, quality control standards, and technology implementation procedures.
  • Identify and communicate audit issues, technical matters, and improvement opportunities with senior associates, managers, and partners.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all levels of client staff to increase customer satisfaction and strengthen client relationships.
  • Provide exceptional service to every client by providing individual attention, responsiveness, and commitment to understanding their goals and needs.
Requirements
  • Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, research, and communication skills, including basic knowledge of GAAP and GAAS rules, procedures, and standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to multi-task, think independently, and problem-solve in a results-driven team-oriented environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong computer and technical skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, intranet, and audit software.
