Senior Internal Auditor

Puget Sound Energy is seeking a highly skilled Senior Internal Auditor to join our team. As a key member of our Internal Audit department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of our operations.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in auditing and risk management, with experience in leading assurance audits and consulting reviews. You will be responsible for planning, scoping, executing, and reporting on these engagements, as well as tracking progress and validating completion of management action plans.
In addition to your technical skills, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management and other stakeholders. You will also be committed to upholding the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE's operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:- Lead planning, scoping, execution, and reporting phases of assurance audits and consulting reviews
- Track progress and validate completion of management action plans
- Complete annual flex plan within policies and procedures prescribed by management and in accordance with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) standards
- Participate in annual audit planning and risk assessment processes
- Assist in preparation of reports and dashboards to Audit Committee and senior management
- Provide training and guidance to less experienced auditors
- Communicate effectively and display dedication to safety and customer service
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or field related to the type of audits performed
- 3-5 years prior substantial audit experience, or specialized subject matter expertise
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills, PC skills, team building skills, and the ability to work independently
- Certification as a Certified Public Accountant or Certified Internal Auditor is desired
- Significant knowledge of company accounting systems, operations, policies, and procedures
Puget Sound Energy offers a competitive compensation and rewards package, including a pay range of $88,000.00-$146,500.00, and eligibility for annual goals-based incentive bonuses.
