About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Hospitality and Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Axinn Veltrop & Harkrider LLP. As a key member of our administrative services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our office spaces in New York City, Washington DC, Hartford-CT, and San Francisco.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and Repair: Manage maintenance, repair, and upkeep of all office spaces, including furniture, fixtures, and equipment
  • Client Experience: Ensure that client-facing areas are always clean, well-maintained, and meet high standards of quality
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure successful outcomes
  • Communication: Build and maintain relationships with contractors, vendors, and building management, ensuring seamless execution of tasks and projects
  • Financial Management: Manage department budgets and expenditures, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements

Requirements:

  • 5+ years general office facilities, property management, or building maintenance experience required, law firm experience highly preferred
  • Ability to travel and/or work evenings/weekends
  • Supervisory experience required with experience managing dispersed teams highly preferred
  • Experience building and managing relationships with contractors, vendors, building management, and third-party suppliers
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • General knowledge of office equipment and tools
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various document management tools
Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $128,000.00. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, exempt-level position. Benefits include market-competitive wages, generous paid time off, firm-paid short and long-term disability, life insurance, and a 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan with employer contributions.
