About the Role

Horning Management Company, LLC is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for conducting thorough preventive maintenance programs, repairing and completing all service requests in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in general maintenance or other maintenance responsibilities that include recognizing electrical, plumbing, and mechanical malfunctions or equipment failures. HVAC certification is preferred, and knowledge of Yardi and Nexus is a plus. The selected candidate must be able to lift 25-50lbs and possess excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with residents.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic repairs including plumbing, electrical, locks, carpentry, and appliance maintenance.
  • Maintain all vacant apartments, laundry rooms, and common areas or structures on each property.
  • Ensure building exteriors, interiors, fixtures, appliances, and equipment are well-maintained.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and complete all service requests in a timely manner.
  • Leave apartments in clean condition after completing service requests.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 3 years of experience in general maintenance or other maintenance responsibilities.
  • HVAC certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of Yardi and Nexus is a plus.
  • Ability to lift 25-50lbs.

Compensation
