Position Overview
We are seeking two (2) temporary, as-needed lifeguards to ensure the safety and well-being of all pool users. These positions are designed to address peak operational demands and emergency situations. Under the supervision of the Aquatics Coordinator, the Lifeguard will be tasked with maintaining a secure and healthy environment at our swimming facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor pool activities to prevent accidents and ensure safety.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, executing lifesaving techniques and providing necessary first aid and CPR.
- Prepare the facility for various aquatic activities and maintain cleanliness.
- Communicate pool rules and regulations to users, ensuring compliance and safety.
- Conduct regular inspections of the pool area and equipment to uphold safety standards.
- Document incidents and report maintenance issues as needed.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and high level of customer service at all times.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Current certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and First Aid from recognized agencies.
- A minimum of 200 hours of experience as a lifeguard, either paid or volunteer.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
