Key Responsibilities- Provide courteous and expeditious customer service to pool patrons and City staff
- Serve as a lifeguard, instruct swimming classes, and supervise swimming activities to ensure safety and adherence to policies and regulations
- Inspect pool facilities, equipment, and water to ensure safety and usability
- Assist with records and charts of water test results and records of accidents
- Maintain effective public relations with pool users and surrounding park grounds
- Valid American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, YMCA Lifeguard Certificate, or Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Certificate
- Valid American Red Cross First Aid for Public Safety Personnel, Red Cross Standard First Aid Certificate, American Red Cross Community First Aid & Safety Certificate, National Safety Council Standard First Aid Certificate, or Medic First Aid Certificate
- Valid American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer Certificate, American Heart Association CPR Level "C" BLS (Basic Life Support) Certificate, or American Red Cross Community CPR Certificate
- Valid American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor's (WSI) Certificate or YMCA SKIPPERS/Progressive Instructor Certificate
