Senior Lifeguard

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified lifeguard to join our team in the Aquatics Division of the City of San Bernardino, CA. As a Senior Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of pool patrons, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe pool environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide courteous and expeditious customer service to pool patrons and City department staff
- Serve as a lifeguard, instruct swimming classes, and supervise swimming activities to ensure safety and compliance with policies and regulations
- Inspect pool facilities, equipment, and water to ensure safety and usability
- Assist with records and charts of water test results and records of accidents
- Perform other related work as required
- Valid American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, YMCA Lifeguard Certificate, or Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Certificate
- American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor's (WSI) Certificate or YMCA SKIPPERS/Progressive Instructor Certificate
- American Red Cross First Aid for Public Safety Personnel, Red Cross Standard First Aid Certificate, American Red Cross Community First Aid & Safety Certificate, National Safety Council Standard First Aid Certificate, or Medic First Aid Certificate
- American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer Certificate, American Heart Association CPR Level "C" BLS (Basic Life Support) Certificate, or American Red Cross Community CPR Certificate
- Must be 17 years of age or older
