Role Summary:

The Community Prevention Facilitator is responsible for organizing and executing the initiatives of the Rockbridge Area Prevention Coalition and the youth coalition SiRPHA (Students in Rockbridge Promoting Healthy Alternatives). This role involves coordinating with prevention staff and programs as necessary and liaising with the DBHDS Central Office regarding coalition activities. The Facilitator will ensure the engagement of relevant stakeholders in coalition efforts and will actively seek opportunities for meaningful participation from Bath County.

In collaboration with the RACS Prevention Services Program Manager, the Facilitator will oversee the operations of the Rockbridge Area Prevention Coalition and SiRPHA, ensuring that all programming aligns with the annual goals and objectives outlined in the Prevention Plan. Additionally, the Community Prevention Facilitator will assist the Prevention Manager in fulfilling the unit's obligations for DBHDS database reporting related to coalition activities and the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF).

This position requires working under the direct supervision of the Prevention Services Program Manager. The incumbent must demonstrate sound judgment, initiative, and adaptability while possessing strong public relations and communication skills. The role necessitates the ability to work independently and collaboratively, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all agency dealings.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience: A minimum of a High School Diploma is required, with an Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred. Previous experience in group or organizational facilitation is desirable.
