Job Title: Prevention Coalition Facilitator

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to join our team as a Prevention Coalition Facilitator. In this role, you will be responsible for organizing and implementing the Rockbridge Area Prevention Coalition and the youth coalition SiRPHA.

Job Summary:

The Prevention Coalition Facilitator will work under the direct supervision of the Prevention Services Program Manager to ensure the participation of appropriate stakeholders in prevention coalition activities. You will also be responsible for seeking opportunities for meaningful involvement of Bath County and ensuring that programming meets with the annual goals and objectives of the Prevention Plan.

Responsibilities:
  • Organize and implement the Rockbridge Area Prevention Coalition and SiRPHA
  • Coordinate with Prevention staff and programs as needed
  • Communicate with DBHDS Central Office as required about prevention coalition activities
  • Ensure the participation of appropriate stakeholders in prevention coalition activities
  • Seek opportunities for meaningful involvement of Bath County
  • Conduct all business of the Rockbridge Area Prevention Coalition and SiRPHA
  • Help ensure that programming meets with the annual goals and objectives of the Prevention Plan
  • Serve in conjunction with the Prevention Manager in the Unit's fulfillment of obligations to DBHDS database reporting regarding coalition activities and the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF)
Requirements:
  • Education: Minimum High School Diploma, Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience: Prior experience in group/organization facilitation desired
  • Skills: Public relations and communication skills, ability to work independently and as a team member, and maintain confidentiality
