Funding Officers collaborate internally to devise potential transactions and guide them to fruition. They assess the value of a client's anticipated inheritance, formulate suitable contract terms, present their analyses to the internal Due Diligence team, and fulfill all prerequisites for funding as mandated by our underwriting committee.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As part of an inside sales team, Funding Officers manage a designated segment of leads generated through centralized marketing initiatives.
  • Funding Officers are tasked with maintaining a dynamic pipeline of prospective clients, actively pursuing leads and expediting the processing of potential clients.
  • During initial consultations via phone with prospective clients, the Funding Officer will elucidate the advantages of our services and the unique benefits of collaborating with Inheritance Funding Company, Inc.
  • Evaluate all assets, liabilities, and the current condition of the estate from which the client is set to inherit.
  • Ascertain and confirm the anticipated inheritance value that the client will receive upon the estate's distribution.
  • Gather essential legal documentation to substantiate findings, including online probate court records, wills, trusts, probate filings, and other pertinent documents.
  • Design and communicate appropriate transaction terms to the client, encompassing pricing and timelines.
  • Present all findings and transaction conditions to the Due Diligence team, ensuring compliance with all internal underwriting standards for funding.
  • Upon receiving internal approval, prepare final contracts and guide the client through the contract signing process.
  • Establish and maintain a system for following up with previous clients who may be eligible for future advances.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated sales and customer service experience.
  • Experience in inheritance or probate matters is not required.
  • Preferred background in the Lending and/or Financial Services sectors.
  • As the primary contact for clients, strong language skills are essential, combining proper conversational grammar with a trustworthy, friendly, and supportive demeanor.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret standard financial statements, contracts, and legal documents.
  • Proficient typing skills are necessary, with diligent real-time note-taking and database management required.
  • Extensive experience and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are essential.
