Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the Operating Room, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in good working order.
  • Assist the surgical team with patient care activities, including preparing patients for surgery, positioning them for procedures, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to implement a plan of care that incorporates physician preferences, nursing assessments, and diagnostic data.
  • Communicate effectively with the surgical team, patients, and families to ensure seamless care and address any concerns or questions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care, including vital signs, medications, and surgical procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest surgical techniques, technologies, and best practices.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a technical program for operating room technicians.
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification or Tech in Surgery - Certified (NCCT) certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the surgical team and patients.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
