Job Title: Charge Nurse - Psychiatric

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Charge Nurse to join our Psychiatric team in Lexington, Massachusetts.

About the Role:

This is a nursing job that requires a high level of expertise and leadership skills. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, supervising nursing staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of the Psychiatric unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care, assessing patients' needs and developing individualized care plans.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Manage unit resources, prioritizing tasks and allocating staff to meet patient needs.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred.
  • At least one year of medical/psychiatric experience, with a strong background in leadership and patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
