We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with experience or interest in pain management to join our team at the Lexington Outpatient Clinic. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive pain care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients with acute and chronic pain, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
  • Develop individualized pain management treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Prescribe appropriate medications, including pain management medications and adjuvant therapies, following state regulations and NP scope of practice.
  • Perform or assist with interventional pain management procedures such as joint injections, nerve blocks, and trigger point injections (if certified).
  • Educate patients and their families about pain management strategies, medication usage, lifestyle modifications, and therapeutic options.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and ensure continuity of care through follow-up visits.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, physical therapists, psychologists, and other specialists, to provide comprehensive pain care.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patient encounters, treatment plans, and outcomes.
  • Stay informed on the latest advancements in pain management, including new therapies, medications, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and protocols, including controlled substance prescribing guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Master's or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Certification: Current board certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Licensure: Active Nurse Practitioner license in Kentucky.
Skills:
  • Proficiency in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn interventional pain procedures (preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
