POSITION OVERVIEW

The Inventory Control Specialist will support the maintenance team by ensuring precise inventory management within the SAP system and conducting thorough parts cycle counts. This role involves ordering necessary components to maintain sufficient stock levels. The specialist will generate purchase orders and collaborate closely with the receiving department. Additionally, the position requires the creation of an organized spreadsheet that links vendor part numbers with SAP part numbers, along with maintaining an updated list of vendor contact information for after-hours emergencies. This role necessitates effective communication with external suppliers.

The anticipated pay range for this role is $20-$25 per hour, with eligibility for overtime.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inventory Management

  • Oversee parts inventory
  • Conduct regular parts cycle counts
  • Establish minimum and maximum stock levels based on historical data
  • Manage vendor relationships and foster positive interactions
  • Generate purchase orders for required parts
  • Coordinate with the receiving department to ensure accurate entry of goods into the SAP system
  • Create a comprehensive spreadsheet linking vendor part numbers with SAP identifiers
  • Maintain an organized and clean parts storage area
  • Develop a systematic approach to parts organization by location
  • Compile a list of vendors with complete contact details, including emergency information
  • Report any food safety or quality incidents to management immediately
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Experience with SAP is highly desirable but not mandatory
  • Prior experience in a maintenance or manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, kneel, squat, and climb
  • Capability to lift up to 20 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to push or pull weights of up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Frequent use of a keyboard and repetitive hand movements
