Your Role

Koch Agronomic Services, LLC (KAS) is on the lookout for an Agronomy Sales Specialist to become part of a vibrant team dedicated to plant nutrition solutions within the agricultural and specialty crop sectors. This position will offer integrated technical assistance alongside a Sales Team in the Corn Belt region of the United States. The main objective is to provide comprehensive product training and articulate the agronomic advantages of our offerings to clients, consultants, farmers, and internal teams. A secondary focus will be overseeing a regional collection of field trial initiatives within a third-party research framework, aiding the organization in assessing current products and innovative technologies.

Our Team

This position will report to the Director of Agronomy for North America and will be primarily remote, ideally situated in Illinois (IL) or Indiana (IN), or throughout the surrounding areas (WI, OH, IA, MI), and will involve significant seasonal travel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a regional agronomy support initiative in partnership with sales, marketing, and other related functions.
  • Educate both internal and external stakeholders on the agronomic benefits of KAS products in the marketplace.
  • Cultivate relationships with customer sales and agronomy teams, farmers/managers, researchers, and independent consultants in the region, focusing on strategic collaboration with key accounts to sustain and expand the business.
  • Oversee a regional portfolio of strategic field research projects to evaluate existing and emerging technologies.
  • Act as an industry liaison and KAS media representative, becoming widely recognized as a thought leader and influencer at both regional and national levels.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in presenting technical sales information to diverse audiences.
  • Background in designing and executing research trials, analyzing data, and summarizing findings.
  • Established experience in building and maintaining a network of customer relationships.
  • Knowledge of soil fertility management and nutrient use efficiency products.
  • Familiarity with common crops and cropping systems prevalent in the Corn Belt region.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree or higher in Agronomy or a closely related field.
