Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Sensia Global, a Rockwell Automation and Schlumberger Joint Venture company, is seeking a talented Field Service Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Field Service Engineer to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of Oil and Gas automation systems at client sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, commissioning, and providing technical support for control systems in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute commissioning activities for automation systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) for new or modified equipment.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful integration and startup of automation solutions.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to control systems, instrumentation, and communication networks on-site.
  • Maintain automation equipment, including working with Low to Medium Voltage.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing technical support and addressing inquiries related to automation systems.
  • Recommend and initiate modifications or replacement of equipment which fail to meet operating standards.
  • Offer training to clients in the use and maintenance of delivered systems or in Rockwell Automation products and software.
  • Implement upgrades and modifications to existing automation systems based on client requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all service activities, including troubleshooting procedures, maintenance schedules, and commissioning reports.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in field service engineering, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
  • Knowledge of Process Control, DCS and Safety systems including Fire and Gas, Emergency Shutdown, SIS, and Process Control Systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Rockwell Automation products and solutions.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols and networking in an industrial setting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
