About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Rochester Regional Health. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients recover from injuries or illnesses and achieve optimal physical function.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical therapy evaluations to establish personalized treatment plans and home programs to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.
- Administer patient treatment plans, applying physical therapy techniques and modalities as indicated, and monitor response and progress to update and modify treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide education and training to patients and their families/caregivers on physical therapy procedures and self-care techniques.
- Direct care provided by physical therapy assistants, ensuring high-quality patient care.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss treatments, progress, patient needs, and outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing education, training, and development to stay current with best practices and advancements in physical therapy.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT or PhD in Physical Therapy preferred)
- Active and clear New York State Physical Therapy license or temporary permit following New York State Practice Act guidelines
- BLS certification (current or scheduled)
- Minimum of 1 year of post-licensure practice as a Physical Therapist (new graduates welcome)
Physical Requirements
This role requires medium work, exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Frequent walking, standing, or squatting is also required.
Pay Range
$39.00 - $52.00
