Role Summary:

This position is essential for managing the billing support processes for client locations that operate independently from the main office of Coronis Health. The individual will oversee daily administrative tasks and ensure that billing charges are accurately prepared and submitted in accordance with established protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the billing support operations at the satellite office.
  • Compile and prepare patient demographic and anesthesia records for integration into the KAM billing system.
  • Verify that all necessary information is included prior to digital submission.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of charges in line with company policies.
  • Develop alternative methods for charge capture during system outages or unavailability.
  • Manage the Information Request (IR) processes to obtain any missing or incomplete data necessary for claims processing.
  • Collaborate with relevant department personnel, facility staff, or anesthesiologists to gather required information.
  • Ensure adequate office supplies are maintained.
  • Maintain effective communication with the Billing Coordinator and other team members.
  • Foster positive relationships with ambulatory surgery centers, client business offices, and hospital staff.
  • Handle patient and client inquiries via phone in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferred: One (1) year of experience in a medical office setting.
  • Understanding of medical billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes.
  • Familiarity with billing practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of coding operational policies.
  • Awareness of HIPAA regulations regarding patient information.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including KAM billing system, Word, and Excel.
  • Flexibility to assist in various accounts and departments as needed.
  • Proactive in identifying issues and proposing solutions to enhance service delivery.
  • Ability to meet production and accuracy benchmarks.
  • Capability to follow detailed instructions and guidelines.
  • Skill in interpreting policies and regulations.
  • Aptitude for reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Effective time management and assignment scheduling abilities.
