Job Summary

Christus Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will be responsible for assessing, administering, and monitoring therapy and objective measurement for respiratory care procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Administer and monitor respiratory therapy, including oxygen therapy, ventilation, and aerosol therapy
  • Conduct objective measurements, such as spirometry and pulse oximetry
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program for registered respiratory therapists
  • Active New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license and good standing with regulatory agencies
  • Documentation of the NBRC's RRT credential
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association
  • Preferred certifications: ACLS, PALS, and NRP
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in all age-specific competency groups
Work Environment

This role requires routine exposure to aerosol or serum-borne pathogens. The employee is responsible for maintaining all licenses and certifications throughout the duration of employment.
