Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, administering, and monitoring respiratory care procedures to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' respiratory conditions and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and mechanical ventilation
  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of patient treatment and progress
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program
  • Possession of an active New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
  • Preferred certifications: ACLS, PALS, and NRP
Working Conditions

This role requires manual dexterity to provide respiratory therapy and operate equipment. You will work in a fast-paced environment with routine exposure to aerosol or serum-borne pathogens.

Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and manual dexterity.
