Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a Medical Customer Service Representative, you will play a critical role in addressing patient inquiries and resolving account issues in a fast-paced call center environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients via phone, ensuring a positive and empathetic experience.
  • Address patient inquiries and resolve account issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Meet or exceed established metric goals, including first call resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Reference patient health information from client systems to address patient questions and update records as necessary.
  • Follow established policies and procedures to resolve patient accounts, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, negotiation, and de-escalation techniques to resolve complex customer issues.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a call center environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established metric goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Characterized by high integrity and a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Able to work successfully in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA, Medicaid, Medicare, and insurance regulations.
  • Experience with medical billing and claims processing.
  • Proficient in PC-based applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong time management and decision-making skills.
  • Positive attitude and ability to demonstrate teamwork.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service in a variety of situations.
