Facilities Management Specialist

Novipax is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team and support our production teams. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.
**Key Responsibilities:**- Lead the maintenance team and provide support in a 24/7 operating environment, ensuring the safety of all team members and contractors working in the plant or department by driving continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all standards and programs (safety, environmental, quality, maintenance and manufacturing policies and procedures) within area of responsibility, forecasting, developing, and managing the maintenance budget.
- Work cooperatively with other departments to meet plant objectives, diagnose complex equipment problems, meet plant goals, and manage department budget, developing and leading preventative/predictive maintenance.
- Investigate and troubleshoot problems in manufacturing process, recommend solutions, and obtain or design and purchase equipment required for solutions, maintaining maintenance preventative maintenance software.
- Plan, implement (with the appropriate approval from management), and install electronic/electrical or mechanical modifications to existing building and equipment, determining root cause to mechanical & electrical failures to improve the site's uptime.
- Manage and oversee parts and maintenance programs and inventory, initiating & leading in process improvement, cost reduction, and capital project programs.
- Work closely with internal and external customers to accomplish plant objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience with similar processes.
- 5 - 10 years of Mechanical and Electrical experience required.
- Management experience for at least 3 years over a Maintenance team.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating procedure manuals.
- Knowledge of plant equipment, operations, predictive/preventative maintenance systems, and effective project management practices.
- Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and the ability to diagnose bad motors, blown fuses, bad disconnect times, relays, etc.
- Demonstrated organizational, budgeting, and computer skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery through the use of blueprints, and root/cause failure analysis.
- Ability to work well with all levels of internal management, staff, and vendors.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Detail oriented with high level of accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Must be proactive and have initiative.
- Ability to work in and maintain a highly functional team environment.
- Ability to travel 5-10%.
