Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of research and data administration professionals to execute complex projects with competing deadlines and priorities.
  • Collaborate across the institution to identify, define, and prioritize institutional research and assessment that supports enrollment planning, faculty instructional workload, and academic productivity.
  • Develop and deploy staff to advance the institution's goals, leveraging data to provide analysis, insights, and recommendations related to university operations, planning, quality improvement, and decision-making.
  • Ensure the ethical use of data and provide leadership concerning data policy, governance, access, integration, and standards.
  • Present data and analyses clearly and accurately in verbal, digital, and written formats, and work in partnership with senior leadership to enhance data-informed planning and strategic university initiatives.
Requirements
  • A Master's in research methods or a field related to social sciences, measurement, or quantitative methods.
  • Ten years of higher education experience involving strategic planning, program review, outcomes assessment, and institutional research.
  • Ability to credibly develop and deploy staff to advance the institution's goals.
  • Evidence of a focus on the ethical use of data.
  • Content expertise in research design and statistical methodologies that include both qualitative and quantitative approaches.
  • Experience providing leadership concerning data policy, governance, access, integration, and standards.
  • Demonstrated success in presenting data and analyses clearly and accurately in verbal, digital, and written formats.
  • Proven ability to work in partnership with university senior leadership to enhance data-informed planning and strategic university initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with reporting and visualization platforms.
  • Experience with data governance initiatives and tools.
  • Experience with data management and mining, predictive analytics, and modeling.
  • Understanding of complexities inherent in large, multi-campus university systems.
