POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Branch Operations Manager will oversee and guide all facets of branch activities to guarantee exceptional service is delivered to both internal and external stakeholders. Ensure that the financial requirements of each client are met promptly, accurately, and courteously. Accountable for the branch's growth in alignment with the strategic objectives set by the bank's ownership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Branch Development & Marketing (40%)
- Facilitate branch marketing strategies and initiatives as outlined by the Marketing Director.
- Engage in manager meetings, cross-departmental discussions, and branch financial planning.
- Actively participate in community events to enhance the bank's visibility and foster new and existing business opportunities.
- Establish, implement, and meet individual and branch sales targets through customer acquisition, referrals, and relationship retention.
- Boost branch deposit and loan volumes in accordance with established growth metrics.
- Stay updated on market trends and competitor activities, reporting significant findings to the Regional Retail Manager.
Team Leadership (30%)
- Direct and manage the branch retail team; oversee job assignments, performance evaluations, compensation reviews, and training; make recommendations regarding hiring, promotions, and terminations.
- Guide and mentor branch staff in operational tasks to ensure alignment with departmental goals and budgetary constraints. Conduct team meetings in line with overall strategy.
- Administer corrective actions for performance issues, with the authority to recommend employee terminations when necessary.
- Delegate tasks to employees based on their skills and expertise.
- Exemplify superior customer relations and promote service excellence through coaching and motivation.
- Identify areas for branch improvement and propose solutions to address challenges and capitalize on growth opportunities.
- Focus significantly on enhancing customer experience through observations, real-time coaching, recognition, and constructive feedback.
Community Engagement (20%)
- Act as a representative of the bank in various community initiatives to bolster the branch's and bank's reputation.
- Collaborate with peers both within and outside the assigned market to exchange best practices, competitive insights, and explore business development opportunities.
Operational Management (10%)
- Conduct regular audits of retail cash drawers and vault cash, ensuring compliance with monthly branch audit requirements.
- Maintain accurate vault cash records and oversee cash replenishment and verification processes under dual control.
- Ensure proficiency in all customer-related systems and software, including maintaining customer records.
- Assist retail staff in their daily operations, including cash drawer balancing and end-of-day procedures.
- Support the opening and closing of the branch in accordance with security protocols, including weekend work as needed.
- Ensure the efficient daily functioning of the branch, covering operations, lending, product sales, customer service, security, and safety in line with bank objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all policies and federal regulations by retail staff.
- Oversee all aspects of branch functions, including maintenance, security, and equipment management.
- Remain knowledgeable about all bank products and services to effectively communicate features and benefits to customers.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- A Bachelor's degree is required or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of four (4) years of experience in similar roles is necessary.
