Part-Time Event Coordinator

Job Summary
This position is responsible for supporting all functions related to meeting support within the Indiana University Bloomington campus, ensuring no detail is overlooked. With nearly 100 years of special event experience, about 50,000 square feet of meeting space, and almost 30 venue spaces to choose from, the campus hosts thousands of events each year.
Key Responsibilities
- Assists with the setup of function rooms for meetings, catering, and conferences.
- Moves tables, chairs, staging, sound and AV equipment, computer equipment, etc.
- Remains in direct contact with clients.

Required
- General knowledge at the high school level.
- Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information.
- Professionalism, dependability, and respect for others.
Working Conditions / Demands
This is a physically active position requiring mobility. Must have the ability to move and transfer equipment. This position requires the ability to regularly move and transport objects and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Advertised Salary
$13.10 per hour
Work Hours
Up to 29 hours per week. Must have some evenings and weekend availability.
