Part-Time Videographer

We are seeking a skilled videographer to join our team at Indiana University. As a part-time videographer, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality video content using artificial and/or natural lighting. Your footage will be owned by OVPDEMA, and you will work independently and as part of a team to produce engaging videos.

• Utilize artistic and creative skills to capture various people, places, and events in different settings.
• Produce videos, including b-roll, and process photos as needed to achieve optimal image quality or desired configuration.
• Store photo images on designated resource areas, such as CITO, BOX, or other designated areas.
• Maintain good time management skills, be prompt for assigned work, and meet tight deadlines.
• Attend team and project meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following qualifications:

• Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University.
• 2 years of college in video production, photography, digital cinematography, or a related field.
• 2 years of practical training in videography with an apprenticeship program, vocational school, or studio training program.
• 2 years of experience in digital photography with 1 year of experience using Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator).

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

• Familiarity with the basics of video production, including audio, lighting, video editing, and post-production.
• Ability to create motion graphics and color correct footage from various cameras.
• Technical ability to work with a wide range of videography equipment and technology.
• Video editing skills with current software products, such as Adobe Premiere, Apple iMovie, or Nero Video 2017.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This part-time videographer position is located in Bloomington, Indiana, and offers a competitive hourly rate of $14.50. The work schedule is flexible, with day and evening hours, and duties are assigned based on programs, events, and needs of OVPDEMA. The maximum work hours per week are 29 hours.
