Key Responsibilities of the Aerospace Armament Specialist:

  • Execute End-of-Runway (EOR) tasks and manage weapon expediter duties in accordance with established guidelines, which include monitoring weapon usage, tracking rounds discharged, and overseeing armament systems maintenance and loading operations.
  • Install and remove all armament Alternate Mission Equipment (AME) and Normally Installed Equipment (NIE) to facilitate maintenance or repair actions, including conducting acceptance and transfer inspections.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and repair of aircraft systems, performing functional checks on armament systems and fulfilling on-equipment inspection requirements.
  • Maintain qualifications and certifications on munitions as per the Test & Training Munitions List (TTML).
  • Ensure compliance with designated weapons-related qualification tasks, including the installation and removal of specialized pods.
  • Assist in training and supervising the loading and unloading of aircraft, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Perform duties as specified by relevant Air Force Instructions (AFIs) and other functions typically associated with the Armament Systems Specialist career field.
  • Undertake any additional responsibilities as directed by the Program Manager or Site Manager.

About You

We are interested in candidates who possess:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • A minimum of six (6) years of experience in Aircraft Armament Systems, specifically in weapons loading and maintenance.
  • Preferred experience with F-15 aircraft.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • This role requires normal physical capabilities.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and climbing may be necessary.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to fifty pounds, with assistance for heavier items.
  • Work may be conducted in confined or awkward positions, including within aircraft cockpits.
  • Normal color and depth perception, along with emotional stability, are essential.
  • Exposure to varying environmental conditions, including noise and temperature fluctuations, may occur.
  • Personal protective equipment may be required in certain areas.
  • Work environments include office settings, hangars, and flight lines.
  • Noise levels may range from moderate to loud.
