KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Execute connector terminations, including shielded wires, coaxial cables, and fiber optic wiring.
• Understand routing instructions and manage harness handling effectively.
• Conduct sealing, wrapping, bonding, tying, and closure of wire harnesses and cables per established standards.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements for electrical modifications and repairs.
• Utilize tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot-level modifications and repairs of electrical wiring.
• Assemble, disassemble, and modify systems by changing, removing, replacing, or upgrading electrical and avionics components to rectify failures or implement enhancements.
• Inspect components prior to installation or use to ensure cleanliness and serviceability.
• Fabricate and modify electrical systems in accordance with specifications.
• Perform tasks related to the safe handling of aircraft structures.
• Document procedures and established processes to guarantee compliance with contractual and regulatory standards (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications, and inspection outcomes).
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• At least 3 years of experience in military aircraft maintenance.
• Minimum of 3 years in retrofit or modification programs.
• Proficient in installing aircraft modifications, including fabricating and installing aircraft electrical system wiring, connectors, electrical components, or avionics boxes.
• Ability to work at heights while utilizing fall protection equipment; candidates must obtain Fall Protection Certification.
• Completion of required training classes is necessary for this assignment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience with F-15 or similar platforms.
• General mechanic experience is advantageous.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
EDUCATION:
Education and experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g., High School diploma/GED) along with 4 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school/Associate + 2 years of related work, Bachelor, etc.). Education must be accredited.
WORK SCHEDULE:
• First Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
