The Senior Structural Engineer plays a pivotal role in evaluating architectural designs and providing technical expertise in structural engineering and scientific planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver independent, timely, and professional structural engineering services and consultations for the design, construction, and upkeep of facilities.
  • Conduct thorough technical assessments of project drawings to evaluate security implications and ensure adherence to construction regulations.
  • Engage in projects that require the calculation of environmental and blast loads; analyze and design vertical and lateral force-resisting systems, shallow and deep foundations, retaining structures, and utility supports; and design structural components utilizing standard building materials such as concrete, steel, and timber.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports on structural integrity and compliance with engineering standards.
  • Oversee technical evaluations, quality assurance, and project management throughout the lifecycle of building projects from planning to construction.
  • Provide expert guidance on Forced Entry and Ballistic Resistant (FEBR) doors, glazing systems, progressive collapse, and the methodologies for the design, construction, and installation of these systems.
  • Conduct site evaluations and inspections of project locations.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including project teams and legislative agencies.
  • Prepare and deliver necessary briefings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Proficient knowledge and experience with FEBR doors, glazing systems, progressive collapse, and the associated design, construction, and installation methodologies.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Capability to present proposed designs and study outcomes effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting technical reviews, quality assurance, and project management for building projects from inception to completion.

Experience Requirements:

  • Must possess a current Top Secret personnel security clearance and maintain it throughout the contract duration.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a Structural Engineer is required, with preference for twelve (12) years.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
