Job Summary

The Houston Center for Clinical Research is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Coordinator to join our team. As a Clinical Research Coordinator, you will play a critical role in the conduct of clinical research protocols in a clinic setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the screening, enrollment, and monitoring of subjects/participants in clinical trials.
  • Prepare and ship laboratory samples for clinical trials.
  • Perform EKGs, Vitals, Assessments, Spirometry, and other procedures as directed by study protocol.
  • Develop and maintain study binders to ensure protocol compliance and complete source documentation.
  • Coordinate the collection of data according to research protocol, operations manual, and case report form guidelines.

Additional Responsibilities:

· Perform a variety of clerical duties, including composing correspondence, word processing, photocopying, filing, faxing, mailing, assembling, and distributing forms, manuals, and informational packets.

· Ability to prioritize and multi-task.

· Ability to operate basic office equipment and laboratory equipment.

· Collaborate with the research team to ensure the successful conduct of clinical studies.

· Maintain accurate and detailed records of study progress and participant data.

· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and institutional policies.

· Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry developments and best practices.

· Work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues, participants, and other stakeholders.

· Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

· Perform other duties as assigned by the research team.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in clinical research or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
