We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our team at Houston Methodist. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventative care to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician.
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, develop plans of care, and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with interprofessional healthcare teams to manage and coordinate patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Participate in quality and safety initiatives to improve patient outcomes and reduce medical errors.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices to provide evidence-based care.
- Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- One year of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant.
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the State of Texas.
- Board certification as a Physician Assistant (NCCPA).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
