HonorBridge is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tissue Recovery Specialist to join our team in Chapel Hill. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the surgical recovery of donated tissue in an operating room setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform tissue recovery in an operating room setting, adhering to aseptic and surgical techniques.
- Collaborate with the recovery team to achieve high efficiency and cooperation.
- Aseptically package recovered tissue and ship it to designated facilities.
- Coordinate the overall tissue donation process, communicating effectively with hospitals, funeral homes, transporters, and partners.
- Document case-related data and paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- One year of experience in a clinical environment, preferably in surgical technology or a related field.
- Associate degree with a concentration in healthcare is strongly preferred but not required.
- Ability to function in high-pressure situations and maintain confidentiality of patient and donor/recipient information.
- Valid state driver's license required.

Physical Requirements:
- Lifts, positions, pushes, and/or transfers donors and/or supplies < 20lbs: Greater than 65% of the time.

- Lifts, positions, pushes, and/or transfers donors and/or supplies < 100lbs: Less than 35% of the time.
Work Environment:
- Prolonged sitting and prolonged standing.
- Some travel within the service area is required.
