We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Echo Tech to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our noninvasive pediatric cardiology services team, you will be responsible for performing all facets of cardiac ultrasound testing for pediatric patients.
Responsibilities- Echocardiograms: Perform transthoracic and assist with transesophageal echocardiograms of pediatric patients, capturing high-quality ultrasound images of the heart and related structures.
- Patient Care: Demonstrate competence in delivering pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care, including patient assessment, pre- and post-procedure care, and basic life support.
- Consultation: Provide consultation with healthcare providers regarding pediatric echocardiograms.
- Patient Documentation: Monitor and record patient information, maintain report storage and data systems, and compile and enter data necessary for charge entry and report preparation.
- 1-3 years of echo experience preferred.
- Fetal echo experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform daily clinical operations of echocardiography, including exams, covering off-site locations, and call.
- Working knowledge of Epic is a plus.
- Associate's degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field.
- ARDMS or CCI registered/registry eligible in Pediatric Echocardiography.
- Proficient in all modalities of Pediatric Echocardiography, including 2-D, M-Mode, CW/PW Doppler, tissue Doppler, and pediatric heart disease and surgical repair.
This is a full-time position with a standard work schedule of 40 hours per week. The salary range is $49.81 per hour, with pay offers determined by experience and internal equity.
This position is exempt from overtime and is employed by UNC Health Care System with UNC Health benefits.
