Job Overview:

At Fords Garage, we strive to deliver a unique and enjoyable dining atmosphere that transforms our patrons into loyal supporters of our brand. Our bartenders play a crucial role in ensuring that guests have a memorable experience by providing exceptional service. You will be responsible for crafting and serving a variety of alcoholic beverages while working collaboratively with your team to uphold our high standards of health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to attendance policies and operational procedures.
  • Maintain a friendly and welcoming demeanor, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Assist guests in navigating our food and beverage offerings.
  • Respond promptly to the needs and requests of bar patrons throughout their visit.
  • Process guest checks accurately, handle payments, and complete transactions efficiently.
  • Answer phone inquiries and provide assistance to guests in a courteous manner.
  • Prepare beverage orders for both the bar and dining area in a timely manner.
  • Ensure accurate cash handling and balance the cash drawer at the end of each shift; conduct regular inventory checks.
  • Stock all necessary supplies including liquors, beers, wines, mixers, garnishes, and glassware.
  • Open wine and champagne bottles and tap kegs as required.
  • Deliver service that encourages repeat business and minimizes guest complaints.
  • Wear slip-resistant shoes as required by safety standards.
  • Comply with dress and appearance guidelines.
  • Report all tips received during each shift.
  • Craft visually appealing, high-quality beverages with consistency.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute suggestions for operational improvements.
  • Avoid leaving the work area during peak service times.
  • Provide proof of alcohol and food safety certification as mandated.
  • Stay informed about all relevant liquor service regulations.
  • Ensure responsible service by not overserving guests or serving minors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Previous bartending experience, ideally in a high-volume setting.
  • Understanding of basic hospitality principles and a service-oriented mindset.
  • Possession of valid food safety certification or any required state certifications.
  • Good hearing for safety and effective communication.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Compliance with dress code, including black slip-resistant footwear.
  • Ability to pass departmental assessments with a score of 90% or higher.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods while preparing drinks.
  • Capability to fulfill orders quickly and accurately.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be of legal drinking age.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not entail any supervisory duties.
