- Order Taking: Responsible for attention and prompt response to the bar guests' needs and requests throughout their entire visit.
- Payment Processing: Present an accurate guest check, accept payment, and quickly complete the transaction.
- Phone and Guest Assistance: Answer the phone and assist with answering guests' questions in a friendly, courteous manner.
- Beverage Preparation: Prepare bar and dining room beverage orders promptly.
- Cash Handling: Accountable for receiving accurate payment and balancing the cash drawer used during shift; daily/weekly bar inventories must correspond with cash totals.
- Inventory Management: Stock all liquors, beer, wines, mixes, garnishes, glassware, and miscellaneous bar supplies.
- Service Excellence: Provide service in a way as to create new and repeat business and avoid guest complaints.
- Appearance and Attire: Position requires slip-resistant shoes and adherence to dress and appearance policy.
- Reporting and Certification: Reports 100% of tips for each shift and must show proof of alcohol and food safety certification.
- Liquor Service Laws: Abides by and keeps abreast of all liquor service laws.
- Guest Safety: Do not overserve Guests or serve underage Guests.
- Bartender Experience: Bartender experience required, preferably in a high-volume atmosphere.
- Knowledge and Attitude: Knowledge of basic restaurant hospitality and fully engaged, service-minded attitude.
- Certification: Must possess valid Manager food safety certification or any other food/alcohol certification if required by state law.
- Communication: Good hearing for safety and accurate communication (with or without accommodation).
- Language: Must be able to read, write, and speak in English.
- Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer usage skills.
- Dress Code: Compliance with our dress and appearance policy including black slip-resistant shoes.
- Testing: Ability to pass general information and departmental tests (test score of 90% or higher).
- Prolonged Standing: Prolonged periods standing and preparing drinks.
- Order Accuracy: Ability to complete orders quickly and accurately.
- Lifting: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Age: Must be legal drinking age or older.
