Our bartenders play a crucial role in ensuring a delightful experience by providing exceptional service. You will be responsible for crafting and serving alcoholic beverages while collaborating closely with your team to uphold our high standards of health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to attendance policies and comply with procedures.
- Maintain a friendly and welcoming demeanor, contributing to a collaborative work environment.
- Assist guests in navigating food, beverage, and promotional offerings.
- Respond promptly to the needs and requests of bar guests throughout their visit.
- Issue accurate guest checks, process payments, and complete transactions efficiently.
- Handle phone inquiries and assist guests with questions in a courteous manner.
- Prepare beverage orders for both the bar and dining area promptly.
- Ensure accurate payment handling and balance the cash drawer at the end of each shift; conduct daily/weekly inventory checks.
- Restock liquors, beers, wines, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and other bar supplies as needed.
- Open wine and champagne bottles and tap beer kegs as required.
- Deliver service that fosters new and repeat business while minimizing guest complaints.
- Wear slip-resistant shoes as required for safety.
- Follow dress and appearance guidelines.
- Report all tips accurately for each shift.
- Craft visually appealing, handcrafted beverages consistently according to recipes.
- Participate in team meetings and provide suggestions for improvement.
- Avoid leaving the work area during peak service times.
- Provide proof of alcohol and food safety certification as required.
- Stay informed about all liquor service regulations.
- Avoid overserving guests or serving alcohol to underage individuals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager/Department Manager.
- Previous bartending experience, preferably in a high-volume setting.
- Understanding of basic restaurant hospitality and a service-oriented mindset.
- Valid food safety certification or any other required food/alcohol certification as per state law.
- Good hearing for safety and effective communication (with or without accommodation).
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Basic computer skills.
- Compliance with dress and appearance standards, including black slip-resistant shoes.
- Ability to pass general information and departmental assessments (score of 90% or higher).
- Ability to stand for extended periods while preparing drinks.
- Capability to complete orders quickly and accurately.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be of legal drinking age or older.
This position does not entail any supervisory duties.
