Lead Medical Assistant Job Description

At Epiphany Dermatology, we're on a mission to improve access to dermatology services and provide exceptional patient care in underserved markets across the U.S. We're seeking a highly motivated and service-oriented Lead Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain efficient patient flow while ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Collect and document patient information, clinical data, and other relevant details accurately and timely.
  • Respond to care questions or complaints to immediately resolve.
  • Deliver patient care per provider orders, based on practice guidelines and applicable regulations.
  • Provide day-to-day support to staff, including scheduling, timecard approval, recognition, coaching, training, and onboarding.
  • Practice strict adherence to all OSHA standards.
  • Operate clinical equipment according to equipment guidelines.
  • Perform time-sensitive delegated tasks, such as prescription refills, EHR alerts, and messages.
  • Order, stock, and maintain exam rooms and supply storage areas using par levels of supplies, medications, linens, forms, and equipment.
  • Monitor expiration dates and act accordingly.
  • Participate in staff meetings and provide constructive input for improvements and solutions.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Successful completion of a state-approved Medical Assistant program.
  • At least one year of dermatology experience.
  • Experience with EHR systems.
