Lead Medical Assistant LPN

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced LPN Medical Assistant to join our team at CODAC Health. As a Lead Medical Assistant LPN, you will play a critical role in assisting the Director of Nursing with carrying out tasks within the scope of a Licensed Practical Nurse, including medical and office support to Providers, Nurses, and direct service personnel within the CODAC clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the training of new and existing employees
- Provide backup support to the medical assistant team, including all functions of a medical assistant
- Perform other administrative tasks and clinical care as assigned by the Director of Nursing
- Participate in evaluation and assessment of members
- Coordinate medical care with primary physician and other healthcare providers
- Observe members' behavior patterns and medical symptoms related to treatment
- Perform nursing screening and assessments for members and report findings with prescriber
- Deliver integrated care services to members, in collaboration with clinical and other staff to address members' needs
- Implement and revise integrated service plans; assure that services provided are specified in the integrated service plan and monitor progress toward treatment goals
- High school diploma/GED required. Board Certified licensed practicing nurse
- Three (3) years' direct care experience with at least 2 year experience working in a clinical setting, skills in office duties, customer service, insurance and billing, and patient care
- Must obtain/maintain Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Valid Arizona Driver's license, proof of current insurance and willingness to use personal vehicle
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no more than 2 moving violations or a license suspension in past 3 years)
- Bilingual a plus
- Must have a commitment to excellence and high standards
- Extensive knowledge of community resources
- Extensive knowledge of behavioral health challenges which include knowledge of the impacts of mental illness, domestic violence, and the dynamics of addictive behavior
- Familiarity with various ethnic and cultural groups
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills using MS Office products, Word, Excel, Access, etc., importing/exporting data to/from applications
