Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to oversee the planning, design, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration of construction projects for our client in Northern California.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and document project scope and program, describing objectives, physical requirements, parameters, and constraints.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure project compliance with department, company policies, government codes, and regulations.
  • Maintain regular and timely communications with project participants to ensure they are informed of project status, problems, and required actions.
  • Manage the process of furnishing and equipment selection, purchasing, and installation.
  • Manage the review and approval process for design work, budgets, and related field changes and changes in scope.
  • Manage the selection process and contract negotiations for consultants, contractors, and vendors.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate, coherent, timely, and auditable project records/files, and cost estimates with department procedures.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to assigned consultants.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of general contractor or project management related experience in an architectural or general contractor firm focused on office tenant construction projects.
  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Knowledge of CAD system, CAFM, estimating, cost control, scheduling, construction administration, quality control, specification writing, and space planning.
  • Experience with OSHPD and TJC requirements.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory requirements related to areas of functional responsibility.
  • Strong analytical skills to create, update, and analyze detailed budget and cash flow reports.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to complete projects timely and with high quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize as necessary, and leverage resources throughout the organization.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree is required. In Construction Management, Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline is preferred.
