Michael Page is working with a well-established General Contractor in Ohio, specializing in Multi-family, Senior Living, Affordable Housing, Mixed-Use, Historical Renovation, Education, Healthcare, and Adaptive re-use projects. This firm is known for its commitment to employee success and is looking for a strong Construction Project Coordinator to grow and develop within their resources.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Coordinator to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years of building construction experience, with a thorough knowledge of general and subcontract documents, drawings, and specifications. They will be responsible for coordinating project preplanning activities with subcontractors, inspecting work in progress, and ensuring that workmanship conforms to specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Primary liaison with owners/architects/engineers for day-to-day construction activities
  • Develop and implement overall project work schedules, identifying the critical path and expediting scheduled critical materials and equipment
  • Review, respond, and resolve subcontractor schedule impacts and claims of productivity impacts
  • Manage performance of work related to scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control, and trade employee staffing levels
  • Document project field issues that impact budget, quality, or schedule and prepare RFIs to clarify questions on building plans and details
  • Oversee work among all trades to promote coordinated project operation
  • Ensure necessary permits and insurance are in place and kept current for the term of the project

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years of building construction experience required
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of general and subcontract documents, drawings, and specifications
  • Completed OSHA 30 hour training course
  • Strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills combined with ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
